Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on 5 August for the third season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. Her true love was when she added writer to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for it. Her outstanding talk show also earned her an Emmy. Between 2002 and the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Her prior roles included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks the news anchor was sent to Cairo and located the main hijacker's father for a riveting and eye-opening exclusive interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton located in Dayton the state of Ohio (1995-1997). In her final semester at college, she was an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as the director of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news program). As a desk assistant to ABC News late night broadcast Nightline She worked alongside Ted Koppel. He remains an inspiration to her in the field of journalism. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning special Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at the Los Angeles riots of '92.
