Emily Irene VanCamp who initially was hoping to be a professional dancer became interested in acting when she visited her sister Katie at the filming location of the film Ladies Room. After she began to take acting classes, Emily Irene VanCamp also got guest spots on television series in Canada. Her appearances have been in a number of series, such as Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a career breakthrough after he was cast on the WB horror/mystery television show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. Even even though the show received excellent reviews, it had to be pulled after only 9 episodes because of its low ratings. The actress who was born on May 12, 1986, was quickly offered another part in Everwood. The role she played was Amy Abbott. This role brought her nominations for a Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
